We strive to be a kind-hearted and open minded studio that combines clinical care with alternative therapies to create the best possible outcomes for those recovering from cancer, injuries and lymphoedema as well as clients looking to enhance their overall wellbeing.

Sarah Paxford, Owner/Director
Sarah is an experienced practitioner with an open heart and passion for holistic wellness and corrective movement. Sarah began practising Pilates over 10 years ago for the management of personal injuries and scoliosis, when she fell in love with the Pilates method. Sarah noticed its positive impact not only on her body but on her mind and spirit. Sarah has since become a Pilates instructor and loves to tailor your workout whether it’s restorative, rehabilitative or a challenging workout, she’s got you covered.
Sarah is a registered Occupational Therapist who specialises in working with women post cancer and those with lymphoedema to increase their holistic wellness, movement and recovery.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree of Occupational Therapy (currently registered with AHPRA)

Kimmy Bradshaw, Pilates Instructor
Kim has always had a passion for health, exercise and how movement can heal the body. Dancing when she was younger first gave her the awareness of how moving the body was crucial for a healthy body and mind.
Whilst taking Pilates classes to help alleviate discomfort from scoliosis, Kim learned about rehabilitation and how the body can heal through movement. It became a passion, so she decided to pursue a new career journey and become a Polestar Pilates Practitioner.
Kim graduated with a Polestar Matwork Certification in 2016 and a Polestar Studio and Rehabilitation Certification in 2017. Kim strives to help people discover how they can alleviate pain, restore healthy movement patterns and work towards a more aligned mind, body and spirit.

Lisa Massingham, Pilates Instructor
Lisa has always lived an active lifestyle of dance, sport and being outdoors. This fuelled her passion for movement and integration of strength and mobility. Lisa was introduced to Pilates after suffering from a back injury eight years ago and has been a client since.
Lisa commenced her work with the human body when she studied her Certificate IV of Massage Therapy in 2013. In 2014 Lisa started her journey as an instructor when she studied to Comprehensive Studio Pilates course through Polestar Education.
In her teaching Lisa strives to educate her clients on proper movement patterns that they can adapt into their everyday lifestyle.

Ashleigh Bott, Exercise Physiologist & Pilates Instructor
Ashleigh has a love for movement that works towards improving your quality of life and became a Pilates instructor for the gentle, low impact nature. She has found that movement through Pilates based exercise is such a gentle way to help recover and rehabilitate the body as she has a passion for helping her clients understand their body on a deeper level through identifying any imbalances and weaknesses across the body.
Ashleigh is also a registered Exercise Physiologist who specialises in Neurological and Women’s Health conditions but has a experience across a range of other areas including injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Melanie (Mela) Itajaphy, Pilates Instructor
Melanie is dedicated reformer Pilates instructor deeply passionate about movement and mindfulness. Her journey into the world of Pilates began unexpectedly after undergoing ACL reconstruction during her college basketball days. It was during this period of rehabilitation that She discovered the transformative power of Pilates and its profound connection between the mind and body.
She brings a holistic approach to every session. Her mission is to cater to each client's individual needs, fostering a supportive environment where they can thrive physically and mentally.
She believes in the inherent harmony between movement and mindfulness, and She is dedicated to helping her clients unlock their full potential while cultivating a deeper mind-body connection.

Leesa Ricketts, Pilates Instructor
With over 12 years of experience as a Pilates practitioner, Leesa is dedicated to promoting holistic well-being through personalised programming. Leesa’s journey began after completing an Exercise Science degree, where she discovered the transformative power of Pilates. Leesa believes in tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of every client, fostering physical strength, flexibility, and mental clarity. Committed to ongoing learning and growth, Leesa continually refines her practice to provide the most effective and enriching experience possible. Passionate about empowering others to achieve their health and fitness goals, Leesa is honored to guide individuals on their Pilates journey toward optimal vitality and balance.

Sophia Burcul, Pilates Instructor
Sophia is passionate about the connection between the body, mind and spirit through explorative, nurturing movement and breath. Sophia has been practicing pilates for 9 years to support her scoliosis to find balance and awareness of her body. She wants to create a safe space for others to deepen their connection to themselves through holistic movement, and to feel stronger both physically and emotionally. Sophia is studying Acupuncture and loves to bring her teachings of acupressure, touch, and emotional wellbeing into the space. Her classes leave you feeling anchored, spacious, and supported.
Sophia really appreciates different approaches to movement, taking it slow, connecting in with how the body feels, what the body needs, and to strengthen and soften the body. Neutralising your nervous system for your body to heal itself while mindfully moving. (You will most certainly receive some yummy stretches within the class).

Yolane Kukla, Pilates Instructor
Yolane’s journey into Pilates began during her time as an elite swimmer. Pilates quickly became integral to her physical and mental well-being, supporting her in both performance and recovery.
After experiencing its transformative effects firsthand, Yolane pursued studio teacher training to become a qualified Pilates instructor. Witnessing the positive impact Pilates has on her incredible clients, not only during sessions but also in their everyday lives, fuels Yolane’s love for what she does.

Belinda Hough, Pilates Instructor
Belinda is passionate about working with people and assisting them to reach their health goals. Having worked as a social worker for several years, Belinda now draws on this knowledge to assist her to motivate, encourage and support clients undertaking Pilates. Belinda has been amazed at the benefits both herself and clients gain from consistent Pilates practice, including improved posture, rehab from injury and core strength and best of all, a reduction in pain.
Belinda is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys running, skiing, cold showers and meditating.

Micaela Hitchens, Client Experience Administrator
Micaela responds to your email enquiries, creates bookings, ensures our studio is running smoothly and provides support to our instructors/therapists so that their focus can remain on nourishing your well-being. Micaela is a firm believer in “no question or task is too small or silly” and loves to make our community feel heard and respected within her role as Client Experience Administrator.
When not working part time as our admin fairy, Micaela is mothering her young daughter, supporting our extended community as a Doula, teaching yoga and guiding sacred ceremonies.
